What kind of courses are available on Trace Academia?Trace Academia offers fun and engaging courses and certificates across 15 industries including music, beauty, fashion, entrepreneurship, digital marketing, hotel & restaurants, creativity, journalism, film, tech, public speaking, agility, electricity. DIY and wellbeing.
What’s the difference between courses, certificates & a diploma?
A course is a learning process that will help you master one skill. Completing a course earns you a badge.
A certificate is a series of 4 or more courses that give you the technical and life skills needed for a job. Completing a certificate earns you a diploma accredited by our partner.
A diploma is the document you can download, share and print after you have completed your certificate.
How long does a course take to complete? It depends on the course, but usually our course take between 1-3 hours to complete.
How long does a certificate take to complete? It depends on the certificate, but usually our certificates take between 9-12 hours to complete.
How do I get the Trace Academia app? Our app is available on the Google Play Store and iOS App Store. Click here to download the app now.
What platform or devices is Trace Academia available on? Trace Academia is available on Android and iOS smartphones. It can also be used on Android/iOS tablets but is optimised for smartphones.

Where can I see all your courses and certificates? You can find all Trace Academia courses and certificates on the Trace Academia app, which is available on Android and iOS app stores. Or you can click here to see all our courses.

Are certificates accredited? All our certificated are accredited by the partner who helped to create the certificate.
How much data do I need to download the app? To download the app you will need 30 MB of data.
How much data do I need to take a course? The amount of data you use depends on your internet speed. If you have a fast internet connection, the app will play videos at high quality and you will consume about 2.5 gigs of data per hour. If you have a slow internet connection, the app will play videos at low quality and you will consume about 120MB of data per hour. Courses take between 1 and 3 hours to complete on average.

Can I select the video quality I want in order to save data? Our app detects the internet speed you are on and automatically adjusts the video quality for you.
How often do you add new courses and certificates? We add at least one new course/ certificate every month.
If I don’t pass the Test Your Knowledge course test, can I take it again?If you fail the Test Your Knowledge the first time, you can take it again and if you fail the second time, you will need to wait 1 hour to take the Test Your Knowledge and the third and final time.
What’s the difference between courses and certificates? Courses are must shorter than certificates and generally teach one specific skill. Passing a course will get you a badge. Certificates are a series of courses put together to teach you a job. Certificates offer a certification upon successful completion of all the certificates’ courses.
What mark do I need to get to pass a certificate and receive my certification? For most certificates you need to achieve a mark of 80% or above on the final test.
How will I get my certification? Once you have earned your certificate, you can see your certificate in the My Profile section of the app.
What are opportunities? Opportunities are rewards for top learners of some Certificates. These rewards will fast-track your career. The opportunity for each certificate is different and are sponsored by the partner who helped to create the certificate. Examples of opportunities include internships, mentorships, apprenticeships and more.
How do I win an opportunity? Simple, complete your certificate and get good marks. The top learners of a certificate are awarded the opportunity.
Does every certificate have it’s own opportunity? Not all certificates offer an opportunity but don’t worry, we will let you know as soon as new opportunities become available via the app.
How many learners can win an opportunity? The amount of learners who can win an opportunity differs per certificate.
Do courses offer opportunities? Courses do not offer opportunities, only certificates offer opportunities.
Why don’t courses offer opportunities? Courses are much shorter than certificates and generally teach one specific skill. Certificates are a series of courses put together to teach you a job. Certificates put learners in a better position to take full advantage of opportunities offered.
