Mastering a new skill

Did you know that at the peak of his career Michael Jordan took a break from basketball to play professional baseball for a year? Who would have thought, right? The best basketball player in history switching to baseball!  Whether it’s learning a new language, picking up a musical instrument, or improving your public speaking, the process of mastering a new skill is nerve-racking but can be both satisfying and beneficial in the long run.

One of the first things to think about when trying to master a new skill is setting realistic goals for yourself.

It’s important to understand that it will take some time and practice, so you need to be patient with yourself as you work towards your new skill.

It can be easy to get discouraged when you’re not seeing progress as quickly as you would like, but it’s important to remember why you’re learning the skill in the first place.

Happy exploring!
